Greschner Foot and Ankle Specialists
We understand that unexpected situations arise and schedules can change. To provide the highest level of care to all our patients, Greschner Foot and Ankle Specialists has established the following Cancellation and No-Show Policy. These guidelines help ensure fair access to appointments and reduce disruptions to the schedule.
1. Appointment Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request:
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
This allows us time to offer the appointment to another patient in need of care.
How to cancel or reschedule:
Call our office: (Insert Phone Number)
Use the patient portal (if applicable)
Reply to appointment confirmation texts or emails (if enabled)
2. Late Cancellations
A cancellation made less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment is considered a late cancellation.
We reserve the right to charge a late cancellation fee of:
👉 (Insert fee amount—commonly $25–$50 for standard visits or more for procedures)
Repeated late cancellations may require:
A deposit for future appointments
Limiting appointment scheduling to same-day only
Discharge from the practice in extreme cases
3. No-Show Appointments
A no-show occurs when a patient does not arrive for their appointment and has not contacted the office in advance.
No-shows disrupt the schedule and prevent other patients from receiving timely care.
We reserve the right to charge a no-show fee, typically:
👉 (Insert fee amount—often $35–$75; higher for procedures or surgeries)
Multiple no-shows may result in:
Requiring prepayment for future visits
Cancellation of future appointments
Dismissal from the practice if necessary
4. Late Arrivals
We understand that delays happen. However:
If you arrive more than 10–15 minutes late, we may need to:
Shorten your visit
Reschedule your appointment
Mark the appointment as a no-show if it cannot be accommodated
We will do our best to see you, but priority must be given to patients who arrive on time.
5. Surgery & Procedure Appointments
For surgical or special procedure appointments, cancellations may require 48–72 hours’ notice depending on the preparation involved.
Late cancellations or no-shows for procedures may result in higher fees due to staffing and reserved surgical time.
6. Insurance and Fees
Cancellation and no-show fees:
Are the patient’s responsibility
Cannot be billed to insurance
Must be paid prior to scheduling additional appointments
7. Exceptions
We understand that emergencies occur. Fees may be waived at the discretion of the practice for circumstances such as:
Medical emergencies
Hospitalizations
Unexpected severe health issues
Unforeseen situations outside your control
Supporting documentation may be requested.
8. Acknowledgment of Policy
By scheduling an appointment with Greschner Foot and Ankle Specialists, you acknowledge and agree to this Cancellation & No-Show Policy.
